ARRIVAL
In Other Words
Anthology
SUBMISSIONS EXTENDED UNTIL 12 JANUARY 2018
LOST IN BOOKS is calling for submissions for ARRIVAL, our first anthology of creative written work and visual arts. Submissions must be received by 12 January 2018.
We’re a multilingual kids’ bookshop, cafe and creative hub that’s new to Fairfield, a community that is rich with cultural and linguistic diversity, and literary and artistic talent. To celebrate this, the theme of our anthology is ARRIVAL.
FAQ.
What works can be submitted?
We are seeking submissions of:
poetry
short stories
non-fiction/essay
visual artwork/photography.
Submitted work should explore the theme of ARRIVAL. Your interpretation of this theme can be as literal or abstract as you like! We’ll select the best submission to be included in our first anthology.
Can I submit my work if it’s in another language?
Yes! We strongly encourage submissions from people who write in languages other than English. If selected, we will translate your work and publish both versions.
Who can submit work?
Anyone! There is no minimum or maximum age limit. Really.
What are the perks?
If selected, you will:
- have your work published in our anthology
- have your work translated (if applicable)
- receive support and feedback to develop your work
- be invited to share, display or perform your work at our first IN OTHER WORDS festival in February 2018
- receive a complimentary copy of the anthology.
