Join us at Community House for the launch of Future Right Now — an afternoon and evening of books, ideas, conversation and community.
Hosted by LOST IN BOOKS, this special event brings people together around the new publication and the ideas, voices and creative practice that sit behind it.
Come for the book launch, stay for the conversation, and spend some time with us at Community House.
Drop by and browse a multilingual selection from our shelves as Parramatta's streets, laneways and public spaces come alive. We'll be bringing books out of the bookshop and into the city — with stories across languages, cultures and places waiting to be discovered.
How can we write about a place and our connection with it?
What forms might we use to expansively explore our relation to the people and the landmarks around us?
How might the fragmentary template of Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory be imported for writers to consider Fairfield and other localities that are dear to us whether close by or overseas?
LOST IN BOOKS is popping up at the Yirranma Place Community Open Day 2026, bringing books, storytelling and multilingual creativity along for the day.
Visit the LOST IN BOOKS stall to browse a curated selection of books from our multilingual collection and join us for creative activations celebrating stories, language and connection.
