Top 24 Australian First Nations Books for NAIDOC Week 2020

November 09, 2020 by Jane Stratton

Always was, Always will be. 🖤💛❤️

The NAIDOC Week 2020 theme of “Always was, Always will be” is all about celebrating that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years!

Spiritually and culturally connected to this country, NAIDOC Week is a time for us to embrace and learn about the true history of Australia’s Indigenous peoples.

We’ve got over 20 books to share with you, inviting you into the rich, awe-inspiring histories of our First Nations people! From picture books, to middle grade and adult fiction, by First Nations peoples about First Nations peoples - these books are a must-have for anyone looking to expand their Indigenous literary canon.

Lost In Books acknowledges that we meet and work on the traditional lands of the Cabrogal clan of the Darug nation and pay our respect to Elders both past and present.
