This anthology, Arrival, celebrates LOST IN BOOKS’ arrival in Fairfield and our first birthday. It also celebrates the remarkable talents of local writers and visual artists, in their mother tongues.
Arrival is our first publication. We publish the works proudly in the languages in which they were first written to share the richness of linguistic diversity in South Western Sydney, and to democratise the work of translation that is the work of First Nations peoples, migrants and refugees every day.
Thank you to the contributors and the LOST IN BOOKS team for responding to the invitation for exchange so generously and meaningfully.
For four consecutive weeks, Lost in Books and Hack Sounds are hosting four free electronic music workshops featuring Lama Zakharia and Peregrin Chiara at Lost in Books. Starting April 26th at 4:00 pm, join in on the fun as part of a bilingual English-Arabic series of workshops and learn how to sample melodies and beats to build a song!
